JAM OFF 2025 has etched its name in history, successfully staging the first-ever music concerts within the iconic Universal Studios Singapore (USS) theme park over the weekend of September 27-28, 2025. This groundbreaking event, a vibrant prelude to the highly anticipated Grand Prix™ Season Singapore (GPSS) 2025, transformed USS into a unique open-air concert arena, drawing thousands of fans for an unforgettable experience.
Organised by Destinations Network Tourism and Leisure Marketing Ltd. and supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, JAM OFF 2025 delivered two days of high-energy performances, dynamic competitions, and immersive festival experiences, celebrating Asia’s burgeoning urban youth culture and music scene. The festival showcased a diverse array of genres, including hip-hop, R&B, Mandopop, Cantopop, and K-pop, underscoring its commitment to spotlighting the region’s next wave of talent.
A New Concert Frontier at Universal Studios Singapore
For the first time in its history, Universal Studios Singapore opened its gates to become a dazzling concert venue. Fans were immersed in a dynamic festival atmosphere, standing amidst the park’s New York Street and Sci-Fi City zones to witness world-class performances up close. This unique setting offered an unparalleled proximity between artistes and audiences, a hallmark of the JAM OFF experience.
The headline acts featured a formidable lineup of Asian superstars. South Korean megastar Rain commanded the stage with his trademark charisma and electrifying performances on both nights. He was joined by celebrated Hong Kong artists including Ekin Cheng, Hins Cheung, Stephy Tang, JC, and the indie-rock band Nowhere Boys. For Stephy Tang, JC, and Nowhere Boys, their performances at JAM OFF 2025 marked their debut in Singapore, thrilling local and regional fans alike.
“JAM OFF 2025 was about more than just music,” said Evette Chan, Event Director of Destinations Network Tourism and Leisure Marketing Ltd. “It was about bringing communities together through shared energy, creativity, and culture. To see fans from across the region celebrate with us in Singapore has been incredible”.
Showcasing Emerging Talent: VOICE and BEATS Competitions
Beyond the main stage, JAM OFF 2025 continued its tradition of nurturing new talent through its signature competitions held at Palawan Green. The JAM OFF VOICE finals on September 27 saw aspiring singers perform in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. A distinguished panel, including Singaporean beatboxer Dharni Ng, Hong Kong soprano Hedy Chan, and Malaysian-born entertainer Allan Moo, judged the vocalists. Dawn Yap was awarded the Judges’ Winner title for her performance, while Isaac Mak clinched the Live Votes Winner award, decided by audience participation. Winners received cash prizes, festival perks, and invitations to perform at future JAM OFF events.
The following day, September 28, JAM OFF BEATS took center stage with high-octane 2-on-2 dance battles in Breaking and All Style categories. Top regional crews showcased their technical skill and creativity, vying for cash prizes and the opportunity to compete on an international stage. ML emerged champion in the Breaking category, with Illstack as runner-up, while BRC took the top spot in All Style, followed by OMADA. Winning teams also received trophies and flights to the next JAM OFF BEATS showcase.
A Vibrant Festival Village and Immersive Experience
Palawan Green was transformed into a bustling festival village, offering a lively atmosphere alongside the competitions. Visitors enjoyed interactive games, curated food and retail pop-ups, and race-themed activities. The festival also provided ticket holders with access to selected experiences from Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights 13, adding an extra layer of excitement to the weekend.
As a key highlight of the Grand Prix™ Season Singapore, JAM OFF 2025 successfully blended world-class music performances with engaging competitions and a vibrant festival environment. The event not only energized the city in the lead-up to race week but also set a new benchmark for cultural celebration and music festivals in the region, reinforcing its identity rooted in creativity, cultural connection, and social discovery.
