D Smoke to Release Third Album ‘Wake Up Supa’ August 26th, Embarks on 18-City North American Tour

Brianna JohnsonBrianna JohnsonAugust 25, 20252 Minutes read

Inglewood’s own D Smoke is set to ignite the hip-hop scene with the highly anticipated release of his third studio album, “Wake Up Supa,” on August 26, 2025. This cultural exploration promises to be a significant moment in his career, solidifying his vital voice in the music industry. To accompany the album’s debut, D Smoke has also announced an extensive 18-city North American tour, kicking off in October.

“Wake Up Supa” features a rich tapestry of 14 tracks, delving into themes of awakening, introspection, and personal growth. The album boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, including West Coast legend Snoop Dogg, R&B crooner Lucky Daye, the soulful Tiffany Gouché, JANE HANDCOCK, and PJ Morton, among others. The project is being released through WoodWorks Record and Death Row Records, marking a significant partnership for the multi-GRAMMY-nominated artist.

Fans have already been treated to several singles that hint at the album’s depth, including “Na Na Na,” “Frequency,” and “No Passes.” These tracks, released with distinctive cover art, have built anticipation for the full project, showcasing D Smoke’s signature layered rhymes delivered in both English and Spanish, and his capacity for heartfelt, narrative-driven music.

The “Wake Up Supa” tour is slated to commence in October, offering a nationwide platform for fans to experience D Smoke’s dynamic live performances. The tour will visit major cities across North America, with initial dates including stops in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Cambridge, Brooklyn, Washington D.C., Detroit, Toronto, and Chicago. Fans can find detailed tour information and ticket availability at DSmokeMusic.com/tour.

This period of musical output coincides with D Smoke’s continued presence in the acting world. He is set to reprise his role as “Raphael” in the upcoming fourth season of the acclaimed Paramount+ series “Mayor of Kingstown.” This dual focus highlights D Smoke’s multifaceted talent, extending his reach beyond music and into compelling dramatic performances.

D Smoke, born Daniel Anthony Farris, has established a remarkable career trajectory since winning the inaugural season of Netflix’s “Rhythm + Flow” in 2019. His debut album, “Black Habits,” earned him two GRAMMY nominations in 2020 for Best New Artist and Best Rap Album, cementing his status as a significant voice in contemporary hip-hop. His previous album, “War & Wonders,” released in 2021, further explored themes of urban challenges, self-discovery, and resilience, drawing inspiration from his hometown of Inglewood, California.

The announcement of “Wake Up Supa” and the accompanying tour signifies a pivotal moment for D Smoke, reinforcing his commitment to creating meaningful, culturally resonant music. His journey from educator to GRAMMY-nominated artist to television actor continues to inspire, making his upcoming album and tour highly anticipated events for both dedicated fans and newcomers to his captivating artistry.
