J.I.D Embarks on Massive “God Does Like World Tours” Supporting Acclaimed “God Does Like Ugly” Album

Daniela BalboaDaniela BalboaAugust 19, 20253 Minutes read

Atlanta’s own J.I.D, a pivotal artist in the contemporary hip-hop landscape, has officially announced an extensive global tour slated for late 2025 through mid-2026. The highly anticipated “God Does Like World Tours” will support his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, “God Does Like Ugly,” released on August 8, 2025. The tour promises nearly 70 dates across North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, solidifying J.I.D’s status as a top-tier performer on the international music scene.

The Grand Unveiling: “God Does Like World Tours”

Kicking off on October 15, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the North American leg of the tour will span across the United States and Canada, concluding in Brooklyn, New York, with two dates on December 15 and 16, 2025. Following the North American run, J.I.D will take his electrifying live show to Europe and the UK in March and April 2026, with a final leg scheduled for Australia and New Zealand in May 2026. The tour is set to feature support from fellow artists, with Young Nudy joining for all U.S. dates, Mick Jenkins performing across Europe and the UK, and Jordan Ward accompanying J.I.D in Australia and New Zealand.

“God Does Like Ugly”: The Album Driving the Tour

The “God Does Like World Tours” are in direct support of J.I.D’s latest studio album, “God Does Like Ugly.” Released on August 8, 2025, the album has already garnered significant attention for its thematic depth and star-studded features. The project’s title was inspired by a phrase his late grandmother used when discussing world events, adding a personal layer to the music. “God Does Like Ugly” boasts an impressive list of collaborators, including Westside Gunn, Clipse, Vince Staples, Ciara, EarthGang, Don Toliver, Ty Dolla $ign, 6LACK, Jessie Reyez, and many others. Critics have praised J.I.D’s ability to weave intricate lyricism with compelling storytelling, a hallmark of his work that continues to define his place in hip-hop. The album itself has been described as a testament to prioritizing lyricism and artistry, with J.I.D carrying the torch for Atlanta’s storytelling tradition.

J.I.D’s Ascent: From Atlanta to Global Acclaim

Destin Choice Route, known professionally as J.I.D, has steadily built a formidable career since his emergence in the hip-hop scene. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, he first gained traction through independent mixtapes before signing with J. Cole’s Dreamville Records in 2017. His debut album, “The Never Story” (2017), was met with critical praise, followed by the equally acclaimed “DiCaprio 2” (2018). J.I.D’s distinctive lyrical prowess, fluid delivery, and thematic depth have earned him widespread recognition and a dedicated fanbase. His collaboration with Imagine Dragons on “Enemy” became a massive hit, peaking at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and cementing his presence in mainstream music. “The Forever Story” (2022) further solidified his critical standing, topping year-end lists and showcasing his evolution as an artist. This new world tour represents a significant milestone, bringing his unique brand of hip-hop to stages across the globe.

Fan Anticipation and the Future of Hip Hop

The announcement of the “God Does Like World Tours” has generated considerable excitement among fans, eager to experience J.I.D’s dynamic performances live. As a prominent voice in the modern hip-hop ecosystem, J.I.D’s tours are often highlights, celebrated for their energy and connection with the audience. His music consistently pushes artistic boundaries, making him a key figure to watch as the genre continues to evolve. The tour not only supports his latest album but also underscores J.I.D’s growing influence, positioning him as one of the most compelling storytellers and performers in contemporary music. This extensive global outing is sure to be one of the top stories in hip-hop for the coming year.

Tour Logistics and Ticketing Information

Presale access for the “God Does Like World Tours” began on August 20, 2025, for North American and European dates, with Australian and New Zealand presales starting August 22, 2025. Public on-sale for all dates commenced on August 26, 2025. Fans are encouraged to download the official J.I.D app for potential presale opportunities and updates. Tickets can be accessed through various platforms, including Ticketmaster, and secondary markets like StubHub for sold-out shows. With nearly 70 dates planned, the tour offers ample opportunities for fans worldwide to witness J.I.D’s artistry firsthand.
