Drake’s Kick Channel Vanishes After Explosive Rant Against Co-Founders, Leaving Adin Ross in Disarray

Jolene CooperJolene CooperAugust 21, 20254 Minutes read

Toronto, ON – August 21, 2025 – In a stunning development that has sent shockwaves through the streaming community, the official Kick channel belonging to global music superstar Drake has vanished, appearing as a 404 error for users attempting to access it. This abrupt disappearance follows a fiery public critique by the hip-hop artist against the co-founders of the streaming platform and its associated gambling site, Stake, specifically targeting Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani. The fallout has left prominent Kick streamer Adin Ross visibly shaken and reportedly in a state of panic.

The Rapper’s Grievances Erupt

The drama unfolded in the digital ether earlier this week when Drake, known for his immense influence in both music and online culture, took to the comment section of a livestream hosted by popular streamer Tyler “TrainwrecksTV.” During his public airing of grievances, Drake did not hold back, leveling severe accusations against Kick’s leadership. He notably referred to co-founder Ed Craven as a “snake” and accused him of “dissing the owls,” a clear reference to Drake’s own OVO brand. Furthermore, Drake expressed profound frustration over alleged mistreatment by the platform’s founders, claiming he was barred from sharing affiliate links, a crucial monetization tool for many creators. Drake also drew a stark analogy to basketball, comparing his relationship with Stake to that of NBA superstar Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, suggesting he felt underappreciated and exploited despite his significant contributions to the platform’s growth.

Drake’s criticism extended to his past dealings with Stake, the cryptocurrency gambling platform that financially backs Kick. He publicly questioned the company’s practices, alleging multiple blocked withdrawal attempts and asking, “Is it personal?” This dispute over finances and platform treatment appears to have escalated significantly, preceding the disappearance of his channel.

Channel Vanishes, Leaving a Void

Following Drake’s public outburst on August 18th and 19th, reports emerged that his dedicated channel on Kick was no longer accessible. Attempts to navigate to Drake’s Kick page now yield a “404 Error – Page Not Found” message. The exact circumstances leading to the channel’s removal remain unclear. Speculation is rife within the online community: some believe Drake himself may have deleted the account in protest, while others suggest Kick’s management might have taken action in response to his vocal criticism. Neither Drake nor the leadership at Kick or Stake has issued an official statement to clarify the situation, leaving fans and industry observers to speculate on the precise cause and permanence of this move.

Adin Ross’s Shock and Future Uncertainty

The sudden vanishing of Drake’s channel had a direct and visible impact on Adin Ross, one of Kick’s top streamers and a frequent collaborator with the rapper. During a recent livestream, Ross appeared genuinely shocked and dismayed upon discovering Drake’s Kick profile was gone. “Wait, Drake deleted his Kick?” Ross exclaimed, his reaction captured in clips shared across social media platforms. He expressed considerable distress, confessing he was “panicking” and questioning what the future held for their collaborations. Adding to the uncertainty, Ross revealed that Drake had personally informed him that he would cease streaming on Kick entirely, unless it pertained to Ross’s own Brand Risk Promotions events. This declaration has cast a shadow over their ongoing partnership and signaled a potential definitive break from the platform for the acclaimed hip-hop artist.

Kick’s Strategic Play and Fragile Alliances

Drake’s integration with Kick, beginning in late 2022, was a significant move for the relatively new platform, aiming to bridge the gap between celebrity entertainment and the burgeoning world of livestreamed gambling. As a major ambassador for Stake, Drake’s streams, often featuring high-stakes betting and substantial giveaways, drew millions of viewers, significantly boosting Kick’s visibility and credibility. The platform, known for its more lenient approach to gambling content compared to competitors like Twitch, sought to leverage Drake’s global music stardom to attract a wider audience. His departure represents a considerable loss, potentially damaging Kick’s credibility with both fans and potential future partners. The incident also highlights the inherent risks in creator-platform relationships, particularly when contracts and perceived fairness become points of contention.

Broader Implications and Lingering Questions

The abrupt exit of a figure as prominent as Drake from Kick raises substantial questions about the platform’s stability and management practices. While some theories suggest the entire dispute might be an elaborate marketing stunt designed to generate buzz – a common tactic in the creator economy – the genuine distress shown by collaborators like Adin Ross, coupled with Drake’s history of engaging in public disputes, lends credence to a more direct conflict. The incident underscores the precarious nature of partnerships in the fast-paced streaming landscape, where a single public disagreement can have seismic repercussions. As the hip-hop world and the wider streaming community digest these breaking stories, the future of Drake’s online streaming presence and Kick’s strategic direction remain uncertain, with many top creators likely watching closely.

Drake’s move away from Kick marks a pivotal moment, leaving the platform to navigate its next steps without one of its most valuable assets. The repercussions for Kick and Stake, as well as the broader implications for the top streamers within the ecosystem, are still unfolding, making this one of the most talked-about stories in online entertainment.
