J.I.D Embarks on “God Does Like World Tours” in Support of Acclaimed “God Does Like Ugly” Album

Kendra BanksKendra BanksAugust 19, 20252 Minutes read

Atlanta’s own J.I.D is set to embark on an extensive global tour, the “God Does Like World Tours,” spanning from October 2025 through May 2026. This massive undertaking is in support of his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, “God Does Like Ugly,” which was released on August 8, 2025, via Dreamville and Interscope Records. The tour will cover North America, the UK, Europe, and Australasia, featuring nearly 70 performances.

The “God Does Like World Tours” are divided into three main legs. The North American portion commenced on October 15, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is scheduled to conclude in Brooklyn, New York, with a two-night run at Brooklyn Paramount on December 15 and 16, 2025. Following a break, the tour will resume in March and April 2026 with dates across the UK and Europe, including stops in major cities like Berlin, Milan, Paris, Madrid, and London. The Australasian leg is slated for May 2026, with shows planned in Australia and New Zealand, kicking off in Auckland, New Zealand, on May 13 and wrapping up in Perth, Australia, on May 23.

Fans can expect to see special guest performances throughout the tour. Young Nudy will join J.I.D. for all United States dates. Mick Jenkins is set to support on the European leg, and Jordan Ward will be the opening act for the Australia and New Zealand shows. Additional artists, including Baby Kia and DC the Don, are also linked to select dates on the tour.

Tickets for the North American and European dates went on sale to the general public on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time via Ticketmaster. Presale opportunities were available earlier for dedicated fans. The artist presale for the Australia and New Zealand shows began on Friday, August 22, 2025, with the public sale following on Tuesday, August 26.

“God Does Like Ugly,” the album supporting the tour, has been met with significant critical praise. It features a star-studded lineup of collaborators, including Westside Gunn, Clipse, Vince Staples, Ciara, EarthGang, Don Toliver, Ty Dolla $ign, 6lack, Jessie Reyez, Baby Kia, Mereba, and Pastor Troy. The album’s title was inspired by a phrase his late grandmother used, reflecting on the difficult aspects of life. The project delves into themes of ambition, resilience, and overcoming adversity, symbolizing the hard work—the ‘ugly’—required to reach the top.

Prior to the album’s release, J.I.D. offered fans a taste of what was to come with the “GDLU (Preluxe)” EP, released on July 4, 2025. This EP featured songs that did not make the final album cut, including collaborations with Eminem, Lil Yachty, and 6lack. The album also follows the success of his 2022 single “Surround Sound,” which gained significant traction on TikTok and charted on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying his presence in the music scene.

J.I.D.’s career, marked by his sharp lyricism and dynamic flow, has seen him rise through the ranks of the hip-hop industry. Signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville Records, his discography includes acclaimed albums like “The Never Story” (2017), “DiCaprio 2” (2018), and “The Forever Story” (2022). His past tours, such as the “Never Had Sh*t Tour” and his opening stint for J. Cole, have showcased his ability to command large audiences. The “God Does Like World Tours” represent his most ambitious global outing to date, promising to deliver high-energy performances and showcase his lyrical prowess to fans worldwide.

While a hometown Atlanta date is still to be announced, the “God Does Like World Tours” are set to be a major highlight of the 2025-2026 music calendar, cementing J.I.D’s status as a top-tier artist in contemporary hip hop.
