Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” Maintains Strong Momentum

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s collaborative album, “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” continues to show resilience on the charts, holding the second position this week with 23,000 units sold. While this figure represents weekly activity, it follows a monumental first-week performance earlier in the year. Upon its release in February 2025, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, earning over 246,000 equivalent units and marking a significant milestone for both artists. This collaboration not only highlighted Drake’s status as one of the most consistent chart-toppers in hip hop history, tying him with other legends for numerous number-one albums, but also demonstrated the potent synergy between the two Canadian superstars, which captivated audiences and fueled considerable streaming numbers.

Chance the Rapper’s “Star Line” Reflects Dedicated Fanbase

Landing in the third spot for the week, Chance the Rapper’s “Star Line” garnered 22,000 units. This independent release, which officially dropped on August 15, debuted at number 22 on the Billboard 200, moving approximately 22,310 units overall. Despite not reaching the commercial heights of his earlier mixtapes or projects like “The Big Day,” “Star Line” signifies a meaningful comeback for the Chicago artist. The album’s performance, achieved without major label backing, speaks volumes about the loyalty of his fanbase and his continued ability to craft music that resonates deeply, blending hip hop with his signature soulful and gospel-influenced sounds. Tyler, the Creator and Kendrick Lamar Round Out the Top 5

Tyler, the Creator’s latest project, “Don’t Tap the Glass,” secured the fourth position this week, moving 20,000 units. Released in late July 2025, the album made a powerful debut at number one on the Billboard 200 with over 197,000 equivalent units, marking Tyler’s fourth consecutive chart-topping album. Known for his innovative artistry and trend-setting approach to music and visuals, “Don’t Tap the Glass” showcased his ability to blend genres and create a distinct sonic world, further cementing his status as a generational talent in hip hop.

Kendrick Lamar’s critically acclaimed “GNX” rounded out the top five, also selling 20,000 units this week. While this week’s figure reflects ongoing sales, “GNX” initially made a massive splash upon its surprise release in late 2024. It debuted with over 319,000 equivalent units and went on to become the first rap album of 2025 to surpass one million units sold.
